Nebras Power Jordan
Nebras Power Jordan is a joint venture owned by Qatar Electricity and Water Company (QEWC), Mitsui & Co., Ltd., and The AES Corporation. Formerly known as AES Jordan, Nebras Power Jordan operates a 693-megawatt (MW) dual-fuel (natural gas and oil-fired) and solar power plant located east of Amman. It is one of the most reliable power plants in the country and plays a key role in stabilizing Jordan’s energy sector and enhancing its energy independence.
Nebras Power IPP1/Jordan
Nebras Power IPP1 / Jordan (formerly AES Jordan PSC) operates a 400 MW combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power plant located east of Amman. The project was developed, owned, and is currently operated by Nebras Power Jordan. With an investment of USD 300 million, the Amman East Power Plant represents one of the largest foreign investments in Jordan's power sector. Project financing was supported by the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), and commercial banks including Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Mashreq Bank, and Europe Arab Bank, with a partial risk guarantee from the World Bank.
Nebras Power IPP4/Jordan
Nebras Power IPP4 / Jordan (formerly AES Levant Power Plant) is located east of Amman, on the same site as the existing IPP1 project. It operates a 241 MW tri-fuel engine power plant. The project was developed, owned, and is operated by Nebras Power Jordan. Employing advanced tri-fuel engine technology, the plant is primarily designed for peaking operations, offering a high degree of flexibility in fuel selection and dispatch. The total project cost was USD 360 million. Financing was provided by the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
AM Solar B.V. Jordan
The AM Solar Project is a 51.95 MW solar photovoltaic plant using monocrystalline PV modules, located near the existing IPP1/IPP4 site. The Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and Transmission Connection Agreement (TCA) were signed in April 2017, and Commercial Operation Date (COD) was achieved on September 1, 2019. The project utilizes 143,311 modules and spans an area of 498,000 square meters. The total project cost was USD 54 million. Financing was provided by the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, and Nippon Export and Investment Insurance (NEXI).

Feras Hammad
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Feras Hammad joined Nebras Power Jordan in 2007 as a Mechanical Team Leader, bringing with him a background in the energy sector dating back to 1997. In 2011, he was appointed as EHS Manager, and in 2012 he assumed the role of Operations Manager. In 2013, he was promoted to Deputy Plant Manager of the Amman East Power Plant. Mr. Hammad brings extensive experience in Jordan's power sector. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a specialization in Thermal Power Engineering.
Muin Goma
Director of Operation & Maintenance – IPP1
Mr. Muin Goma joined Nebras Power Jordan in 2009 as a Mechanical Engineer. In 2011, he was promoted to Mechanical Team Leader, and in 2014 he was appointed as Maintenance Manager. In 2024, he was promoted to Director of Operation & Maintenance at Nebras Power IPP1. Mr. Goma has extensive experience in Jordan's power sector. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and has earned several professional certifications, including RCM2 (Reliability-Centered Maintenance) and NEBOSH.
Khaled Salameh
Director of Operation & Maintenance – IPP4
Mr. Khaled Salameh joined Nebras Power Jordan in 2006 as an Electrical Team Leader. In 2009, he was appointed Engineering Manager, and in 2013 he assumed the role of Commercial Manager. In 2015, he was promoted to Director of Operation & Maintenance for Nebras Power IPP4. In 2019, his responsibilities expanded to include the O&M oversight of AM Solar Jordan. Mr. Salameh has extensive experience in the power sectors of both Jordan and Saudi Arabia.
